The Heart Behind the Wood

Originally from Ohio, I now call Huntsville—The Rocket City—home. After retiring from the military and working full-time as a defense contractor, I discovered Knot Rocket Science as a creative passion—a way to navigate the transition to civilian life. What began as a personal outlet has since grown into a craft I truly love.

I’m a proud mother to two amazing kids: a travel team ice hockey goalie and a Girl Scout. This business has become a way to teach my daughter the importance of using resources wisely and appreciating the value of craftsmanship and sustainability.

Our family’s love for hockey fuels our drive and teamwork, values I bring to every piece I create. We also love traveling the world together, drawing inspiration from the colors, textures, and natural beauty we encounter on our adventures—elements that influence the unique character of each handcrafted piece.
